We all know that Daniel Craig doesn’t want to keep playing James Bond. Although he wanted to call it quits a while ago, when talks were happening that his Holywood-nemesis Tom Hardy would take his place, he signed on for more films and now has one left.
Now, it seems that Idris Elba might be the one to take his place. In 2014, Sony’s studio chair Amy Pascal said that “Idris [Elba] should be the next Bond.” Recently, the Daily Star backed up this claim; Bond producer Barbara Broccoli reportedly stated that “it is time” for a non-white actor as James Bond. The director then said it “will happen eventually,” and that “Idris could do it if he was in shape. You need a guy with a physically strong presence. Idris has that.”
