Is it a bird? Is it a plane? No, it’s just DC firing Henry Cavill from being Superman ever again.
Henry Cavill played the iconic superhero in 2013’s ‘Man of Steel’, but now is no longer playing the role after contract talks between him and Warner Bros broke down.
WB will reportedly be shifting the attention to Supergirl instead. Considering their lack of success with the ‘DC Universe’ in competition with the ‘Marvel Universe’, it seems WB are using Supergirl as a way to freshen up the content.
Be peaceful, the cape is still in his closet. @wbpictures has been and continues to be our partners as they evolve the DC Universe. Anticipate a WB statement later today.

In a statement, WB said: “While no decisions have been made regarding any upcoming Superman films, we’ve always had great respect for and a great relationship with Henry Cavill, and that remains unchanged.”
